This listing, for three neighboring cabins, is an ideal getaway for ten people. Cabins #1 and #3 were built in the 1970s as fishing cabins. They each have recently been remodeled to include two bedrooms, a bathroom, an open kitchen, two sofas and a fireplace. Cabin #2 is located right between Cabin #1 and Cabin #3. Cabin #2 designed for two people. It is comprised of two small structures connected by a covered deck. The first structure is a converted shipping container that has a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, and outdoor patio. The second structure contains a cozy sleeping cabin, glass sunroom, and stone fireplace. All three cabins have their own outdoor seating area and hot tub facing the river.
The Area:
The cabins are a one hour drive from Seattle, and just minutes outside of Granite Falls, WA. This area is often refered to as the gateway to the Cascades, and the cabins are just a 20-minute drive to some of the best hiking and most beautiful natural features that Washington has to offer. Some of our favorite nearby hikes include: Gothic Basin, Big Four Ice Caves, Mt. Pilchuck Fire Lookout, Lake Twenty-Two, and Heather Lake. Our cabins are in a small and private community. While we encourage guests to visit the nearby park and to explore the trails on the Cascade Loop Highway, we ask guests to please refrain from wandering the private roads of the community, as the neighbors appreciate their privacy.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you allow dogs? — Yes. We are dog friendly, but do not allow other pets.
Can I check-in early or check-out late? — No. Our cabins are often booked back-to-back, and our cleaners need time to prepare the cabin for the next guest. There is not a good area to hang out in while the cleaning is being finished so it's best to arrive at check-in time.
What's in the kitchen? — The kitchen is small and stocked with the basics: stove, oven, pots, dishes, spices, dry goods.
Do you have a grill on the deck? — Yes. The grill is on the deck overlooking the river.
What's the coffee situation? — We keep Stamp Act coffee, an electric grinder, and a stainless steel french press at the cabin.
What's a good restaurant or bar nearby? — We recommend spending as much time at the cabin and in nature as possible. So, plan to bring food and drinks with you. Favorites in town include Omega pizza (takout pizza and salads) and the Spar Tree (local bar).
